We Are Eastchester International Day: A Wonderful Celebration of Chinese Culture!

On May 31, 2025, our Chinese Culture booth became a highlight of the We Are Eastchester International Day, attracting many families to stop by and experience the richness of Chinese tradition. The atmosphere was lively and joyful as everyone enjoyed the unique charm of Chinese culture.

Event Highlights

Traditional Chinese Dress Try-On

Both adults and children were captivated by the beauty of Chinese Dress. Kids enjoyed playing in traditional attire, while parents had fun trying on the "Emperor" costume—creating many memorable photo moments.

Calligraphy & Paper Art

Our calligraphy station, led by Hong, was a crowd favorite, with many guests trying their hand at writing Chinese characters. ManYu’s paper-cutting and lantern crafts were also very popular, allowing everyone to experience the intricacy and fun of traditional Chinese folk arts.

Delicious Chinese Snacks

A wide variety of Chinese snacks delighted everyone’s taste buds, offering a true taste of Chinese culinary culture. Many thanks to our dedicated volunteers for their hard work!

Cultural Exhibits

We also showcased a variety of cultural items, including display boards, paper lanterns, beautiful picture books, and palace fans, further highlighting the richness of Chinese heritage.

Raffle & Grand Prize

This year’s event featured a special raffle, with different organizations offering a range of exciting prizes. Our booth provided a stunning Suzhou Garden LEGO set as the grand prize, which drew lots of attention and added extra excitement to the day.

We will continue to enrich our activities and prepare more traditional Chinese dress and Chinese elements, so even more friends can experience and appreciate Chinese culture firsthand.
